Adoro Mi Casa - A Poem by Lindsey

My casa is so pretty.
It is made of bricks and wood.
If you haven’t seen it,
You probly wish you could.
My casa has two bathrooms.
One is little. The other’s small.
One is by the front door.
The other’s down the hall.

My casa has one kitchen.
The floor is sticky and kinda brown.
That is where we drink and talk,
And always hang around.

My casa has three bedrooms.
(And one pseudo-room for Jord.)
I wish we could have bunk beds,
So we would never get bored.

My casa has a spider room
Full of mangy, eight-legged freaks.
Most of which are hobo spiders.
And Matt…The roof still leaks.

My casa has special artwork
Hanging on its walls
Don’t try to take it home with you.
Or we’ll snip your freakin balls.

My casa has a garden.
The ceramic mushrooms make it best.
There’s a log in the front yard,
Where naughty kitty watches me dress.

I really love my casa
It’s full of sunshine and love.
The floors are covered in beers and pee,
And it’s still a step above.

I’ve told you about my casa
Being that I love it so.
But before I close,
There is something you should know.

The gatherings…so great
The locale…muchos fantastico
The neighbors...first rate.

What is most important
And vital above all.
Are the very special and lovely girls
Who reside within it’s walls.

My Jorgie’s happy laugh
And love of cheese and P.B.R.
Always make me smile
Even though she’s loud after the bar.

Kooterana cracks me up.
Get that girl a nug!
Always smart, and oh so kind.
The first to give a hug.

Jess is a wise old woman
Trapped in the body of hottie.
But when she’s drunk and pantsless,
She can be sooo KA-NAUGHTY!

Well, that is all I have to say
About The Casa and it’s ladies.
I just hope we blow up the spider room
Before those hobos have babies.

Just in case...

I was driving home a couple nights ago and realized that there was about to be an amazing sunset. Unfortunatley I didn't have a chance to get an unobstructed view of it. But I did manage to capture this photo from my roof.

Just thought I'd share it with you in case you missed it.

Hope you all have a great weekend. Keep visiting our blog, we hope to make posts a more regular thing.

Thankful

I was lucky enough to have the foresight to bring a camera with me when I was running some errands yesterday. I was also fortunate to have an excellent subject to photograph.

The scene made me realize how lucky I am for my good fortunes in life, including the ability to share moments like this with friends.

Oh dear blogspot.com, I am thankful for you, as well!

Introductions

Welcome to the Casa de Sass' first of many more blog posts to come. We recently decided that it wasn't good enough just to post pictures on Flickr and our Myspace pages but that we needed to have the stories to go along with it.

But before the stories begin, let's first introduce who and what the Casa de Sass is.

The Casa de Sass is the residence of four very good friends and their comrades.

KereAna aka Sassafrass - KereAna's parents own The Casa and is the connection between all the pals. She loves to garden, take photos, cook and work on various projects in and around the house. She's very involved withe ONE campaign, works part time as personal assistant and goes to the University of Utah as a Biology major. A unique fact about KereAna: She sometimes can't contain her desire to do a "tribal" dance.

Jess aka Sasscegawea - Jess and KereAna have been friends forever. Literally all of KereAna's life (Jess is older so there were a few months of her life that KereAna wasn't around). Jess just recently passed the Series 7 and so we now have Stock Broker in the house. She has also worked as a Social Worker. Jess is multifaceted and her talents include drawing with her eyes closed, inventing games and keeping The Casa girls looking up to par when they go out. A unique fact about Jess: She'd probably kill you in a head-to-head Boggle competition.

Jordan aka Sasshole - Jordan is the Karaoke Queen! You can always find her at Piper Down on Sunday night performing her heart out. She's the senior of the house being a whopping 27 years old. She works for an outdoor sports company called Xnation . (Click on the link and buy some sweet stuff!) A unique fact about Jordan: She's a master at the Air Guitar.

Lindsey aka Sassquatch - Lindsey is the other college graduate in the house. She works at an Autism Research project and loves it. Lindsey is very crafty and you can often find her at The Casa working on one of her projects. We're pretty sure Lindsey is going to be America's Next Top Model though we might have to convince her of that first. A unique fact about Lindsey: She can make a mean Tussin.

The Casa is also home to two cats. They keep us entertained and also are great snugglers when no one else is around to fullfill that role.

Jack aka Fatty

BK aka Mitten

* Please be sensitive to Kitten, he has recently been through a gender crisis. (We brought her home as a girl and recently discovered that she is a he.) *

Well that's all the introductions for now. Keep checking back for news of our comrades and also all the fascinating shenanigans that The Casa de Sass is involved in.

Much love,
The Casa de Sass Girls
